Which RO service is best depends less on the name on the van and more on how the job is done. A good RO service tests the water, explains the fault, replaces only what is needed, tells you whether parts are genuine or compatible, and gives a written bill. That can be the brand’s own service or a trusted local technician.
Here is how the two compare, and six checks that help you choose, whoever you call.

Brand company service vs local technician
Both have a place. The right choice depends on your purifier and its warranty.
Brand company service
The maker sends its own technician.
- Uses the maker’s own parts.
- Required if your purifier is under warranty, so do not let anyone else open it during that period.
- Can mean waiting a few days for a visit, and parts can cost more.
Independent local technician
A local business that services all brands.
- Services every brand, often the same day.
- Can offer genuine or good compatible parts, which gives you a choice on cost.
- Quality varies a lot, which is why the checks below matter.
6 checks before you book
- A real address and real reviews. Look for a shop you can visit and a Google Business Profile with genuine reviews and photos of work.
- A clear diagnosis. They should tell you what is wrong and why, with TDS and flow readings.
- Old parts shown to you. Ask to see every filter or part that is removed.
Then three more:
- Parts named and priced first. You should know whether a part is genuine or compatible, and its price, before work starts.
- A written bill and service warranty. A business that stands behind its work puts it in writing.
- No pressure. Be careful if someone insists on replacing the membrane or buying a new purifier without testing anything.

Watch out for fake customer care numbers
Searching for a brand’s customer care number online often brings up numbers that are not the brand at all. Some callers then overcharge or fit poor parts. Use the number printed on your purifier, your warranty card or the maker’s official website. If you are misled or overcharged, you can register a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline.
Sanchit Enterprises is an independent service business. We never claim to be any brand’s official service, and we say so on every page.
So, which RO service is best for you?
If your purifier is under warranty, use the brand’s service. After that, which RO service is best comes down to trust: a local business with a real address, real reviews and clear billing, that can come quickly and service every brand.
That is what we offer in Roorkee from our Ram Nagar shop since 2014, and in Haridwar through our own local technician team. See RO service centre in Roorkee and RO service in Haridwar.
Which RO service is best: frequently asked questions
Will a local technician void my RO warranty?
During the warranty period, use the brand service so the warranty stays valid. After it ends, any qualified technician can service it.
Are local RO technicians cheaper?
Often, because they can offer compatible parts. Always ask which parts are being used and their price.
How do I spot a fake RO customer care number?
Use only the number on your purifier, warranty card or the brand official website. Be careful with numbers from random search results.
Do you service all brands?
Yes, every brand in Roorkee and Haridwar, usually the same day.
Need help with your purifier?
